Pottery Barn App Launch

Project Objective: Translate the Pottery Barn Ecommerce experience to an easy-to-use App. Create a customer journey that is intuitive and seamless to our DTC and in-store experiences. Develop the App Store assets and 360 marketing to boost awareness and conversion.

The Process

Team Members: Design by Claudia Bracy, Creative Directing by Andrea Drake.

Initial Concepting: First we had to understand our user and market, based on user testing we did from out site. After researching competitor’s apps and thinking about how users interact, we developed a wireframe.

The Writing Process: A lot of pre-work went into sitting with other retailers Apps, as well as understanding the flow of our online site so the online experience our user is familiar with felt intuitive in the App. This was my first time writing microcopy, so I sat close with the design team to understand the constraints and character limits, ultimately telling a seamless story and having a successful launch, average ~1.5 million in revenue a week.
